"Monkey Business", our 11th album (released on Oct. 26, 2012) climbed the German Alternative Charts up to #9, the single "Are You Gonna Be My Girl" reached #11 - how cool is that!?!?
Besides that, it is on #49 at the Oljo Download Charts.... no need to say that we're very happy (and proud)!

Dear Friends of BoppinB,
you probably know feeling, when you have a good news to announce, you just cannot wait to trumpet it out to the world! But when the news isn´t that good, you await the right moment to make an announcement.
This is one such situation. Some time ago, our singer Michael announced his decision to leave the band at the end of this year and hang up his Rock & Roll shoes altogether. After the first shock subsided, we unanimously decided to find a worthy successor for him. We did not want to look for a new singer by putting ads in papers or similar methods, rather we wanted to find a singer first and announce this story after that.
We were aware, that Michael was leaving a legacy behind, with his voice and his inimitable style (not to forget his humour), which are so unique. But we also knew (not only through all these casting shows on television) that there are many fantastically talented singers in Germany, who dream of a life as a musician. So we were pretty sure of finding the right someone for our little "Scheisskapelle"....
Fabian Schulz, our booker at K.O.K.S., the producer of "B.A.N.G." and "Monkey Business" and last but not the least also our good friend, connected us to some prospective candidates. We auditioned some great singers and heard some spectacular voices who sang their interpretations of our songs. Our next problem was that with all these great singers, we had the agony of choice!
Our decision finally fell on Sebastian Bogensperger, an old friend and colleague from Aschaffenburg, whos voice really blew us away and (Bingo!) he lives in our hometown. And besides, he is already an experienced professional musician and a big-time Boppin'B fan which are the best of conditions for this job. We have already had a few rehearsals together, and believe us: it rocks ! You will be able to convince yourself starting January 2013.....
We will have warm memories of the last 17 years with Michael. Nobody can ever take away all that fun, excitement and success that we experienced together (neither from us nor from you).
But "... a magic dwells in each beginning" (H.Hesse), so we are looking forward to our time with Sebastian and everything new that comes with it.

After 17 Years in the Rock'n'Roll Universe, the time has come to step off the starship called Boppin'B. After 17 years on the road, just one year short of coming to age, I will be leaving the band at the end of the year 2012. I am happy about the fact, that the band will move onto even newer heights with their new singer.
I am glad, that I can look back on a very interesting and successful part of my life. I was involved in seven album productions and shed a lot of sweat in the studios and the live shows in Europe and the United States.
It was a fast-paced and diverse time, I will always have fond memories of this.
Due to family reasons, it is time to leave the Rock'n'Roll business behind and break out into newer pastures and work on new memories. Of course, I wish the band and my colleagues all the very best for the future. I feel very fortunate to have come a long way with Boppin'B and could contribute to their success.
With the Album "Monkey Business" and my humble contribution to it , I am leaving my vocal legacy behind to all Rock'n'Roll enthusiasts. I say Goodbye to all the fans and friends of the band.
I am sure that the fans will continue to support Boppin'B and thank all fans and friends for your support and for the several nice and interesting conversations at the gigs and everything around it.
I have reached my final-stretch and I am spurring my horse wildly on 'till the end of 2012!

And after a long travel through the whole country we will be in Travemünde tomorrow to play a concert with the german country-music legend Gunter Gabriel. The temperatures are rising, and it seems that it will be a hot summer for everybody this year. Especially for all fans of Boppin’B. There are some great festivals waiting for you and us.
The first remarkable one will be the ‚Music on the rocks‘-Festival where we play at Saturday the 28th of May together with ‚Madsen‘ and ‚Angelika Express‘. One day later we play the headliner slot at the ‚Schloßgrabenfest‘ in Darmstadt, you surely shouldn’t miss that. Then we go on with the ‚Uferlos‘-Festival in Freising (Tuesday 31 May), a really beautiful event in the south of germany nearby munich. You will love the location , the good beer and, of course, our concert.
Then we go on at the 4th of June in Neu-Isenburg when we share the big stage with Cashma Hoody. Seems to become a big dancehall-party at that night.
And for our danish and swedish friends we have a special announcement: We play in DK-8300 Odder, Hov Havnecafeen at 23rd of June before we got to sweden on the next day to play in S-24493 Kävlinge (Rockmetropole). And there are much more incredible events coming up this summer, so you better watch out

Bavaria - here we are!
Yesterday we had a nice gig in Regensburg, today we are in Augsburg, tomorrow we are going to Landshut and the next week we're joining Ingolstadt and Altenkunstadt.

Tonite on TV! Finally somebody at the BR in Munich remembered this littly sporty Scheisskapelle from the north-western corner of Bavaria and invited them to the jubilee transmission of Blickpunkt Sport. Besides us, there will be a lot of famous Bavarian athlets, amongst them a queen (ski-) and The Kaiser - watch out!

10-07-2009We had some great concerts during the last weeks, and would like to thank all the people in Hannover, Vienna (A), Stuttgart, Cologne & Olten (CH) for their great support. Last weekend was funny too, and we had two rockin’ nites in Bad Königshofen and in Merzig (on a Oktoberfest, which is not the typical place for a rockabilly concert, isn’t it?) Now we’re going again to Hannover to have one more foto-shooting and to hear the first mixes of the upcoming CD.
